Makeup Artist & Mommy

Alrighty, well the time has come where I would love to be putting my career as a makeup artist into the works. As I got pregnant right from finishing my schooling @ Blanche MacDonald, I was sick all day long and was unfortunately unable to work. I've always kept up with learning new things and what was going on in the makeup world, to make sure that when I was ready to go back to work I would be in the know of everything. I'm definetely planning on staying at home with Arianna until she is at least a year, but I would love to start doing photoshoots, weddings and maybe part time (at night) retail work to build my kit to what it should be and also my portfolio. I really don't want to be at a desk job, I want to be doing what I love, and I need to start now. The benefit of working part time at a counter is I can get a lot of product for cheap (if not free) and since it's expensive to buy (for the most part) I'd really need that! So, with that said it's now my plan to start putting this makeup job into the works. I'm planning on doing a big photoshoot in mid-november with some friends, and getting a whole bunch of shots.
So, makeup aside, my little girl is getting so big so fast, she had her first swim class yesterday and it went relatively well (the swim instructor wasn't the greatest) but splashing around in the water with her friends was fun. Also, I dunked her under the water about 4-5 times, and she didn't choke on the water once but she did however; make the funniest faces known to man when she came up. And since she's so pale the area around her eyes were as red as could be, poor thing - but she did seem to like it. We did little thing where we all had to pour water over the arms, and heads and little Arianna was the only baby there who when her head got wet it didn't look any different, all the other little one's had their hair fall in their faces and Arianna just looked bald :) She's not tho, really she has lots of hair it's just as blonde as can be.
Anyways I just had to get that in there. We are heading to Medicine Hat this saturday morning, about 4am. I hope all goes well and we wont have to stop "too" often as I'd like to just get there. But I'm hoping at the stops we can take a few pictures along the way as I haven't been up this way before with Arianna.
Oh ya, she's just about at the point of sitting up completely on her own, she can sit for the most part but when she gets SO excited she kicks and knocks herself over.
She's so sweet
On a sad note, our family dog Kiki was put down yesterday as she had a large mammorey tumor and was just getting too hold; she was just over 13. She had a great great life, and we miss her lots already!

P.S The hospital nurse said Arianna definetely wasn't Jaundiced - OKAY! Hmmmm, makes me think!
