at 3 weeks old - just becaue I LOOOVE this picture!
It's 10:46pm, and I'm waiting for Michael to get home from Seattle - 2 more hours, so I thought I'd write a little something - updates!
We're almost there - walking that is! She is now just over 13 months and beginning her walking experience. She's definetely motoring around pretty good and has some good bumps and bruises to prove it, definetely a little bruiser - no fear! I think maybe 2 weeks at most and we'll have her motoring around on 2 feet. Woot
She's quite the little talker as well, it's so fun to listen to her talk, all the words are just to precious, and to see her understanding us is even more amazing.
Her favourite word is NO. But must be said like this "no,no,no." She also says Hi when the phone rings, "don't" if she doesn't want you to do something, of course mama, dada, what sounds like "tickle" said the same as "no" if she loves her food she will go mmmmmmmmm for about 5 seconds and then again if she wants more, Nana & Papa! Also my favourite of the whole bunch, she says I love you! Sounds more like lalu dad! Ya, it always has Dad at the end of it. A few other words are in her vocabulary, but it's late and I just can't re-call all right now. As for understanding us, my favourite thing is asking where something goes and she'll point to it, crawl to it, or go put it there, I love it, makes me so proud!
She still hates sleep - and everything that is involved with it - sleeping, LOL. Just when I think she's going to start a routine of sleeping all through the night she teases me for 2 days and then back to waking up. And I know some moms can do the cry it out thing, but I just can't, I wake up with her, give cuddles and go back to sleep! Although one of the greatest things about Miss Arianna is that she can sleep anywhere, seriously ask Kristy! Anywhere and through anything. Ex. Michael was playing with Arianna the other day on the floor while I out and she fell asleep right in midst of all her toys. Then a week later, after screaming for about 2 hours straight at bedtime, Michael put her on the floor to see if she would calm down and crawl around and sure enough head dove into a sleeping position. The picture below is how she looked! She'll also sleep in the car if she's even remotely tired. She's slept through Sophie having a tantrum in the back and didn't even phase her. It still amazes Kristy that she can sleep anywhere! So that's a bonus, we just need her to do it alllllll through the night! That would be awesome!
She's still very constipated, we were in Emergency last Thursday as I'm fed up with Doctors and wanted a solution to this problem, so with no solution came an Enema until I could get to the Pediatrician this coming Thursday! And I'll tell you an Enema isn't fun for an adult nevermind a 1 year old! No cool at all! She did poop - all white and krusty (gross I know) but until you see what she goes through you really have no idea how torturing it is to watch and to help :( Wish me luck, hopefully we can get this resolved.
On another note, we are done with cloth diapers I came, I tried - I didn't no conquer, they just don't work for her or me so we are heading back to throw away town! That's it for now as (suprisingly) she's up! :)
