On Friday morning I went to the hospital for a scheduled induction, which took place at 8:00am. After 1 hour the hospital sent me home to labour there for a little while, because I was only 80% Effaced and not yet dilated, so they thought that it wouldn't take affect until my second gel in six hours. Well, little did they know as soon as I got home I immediately went into active labour - (10:16am to be exact) contractions every 2 minutes apart. Well, but 12:30 I was back at the hospital where they put me in a room with 3 other people who weren't even in labor and had to listen to me pant and breath until about 4:00, when I was put into an actual labor room. At that time I was checked and 2-3cms dilated and fully effaced. After about an hour I was checked again and was now 4-5 cm. So things seemed to be progressing steadily and didn't need the second gel because labor picked up so quickly. Now things started to progress and hurt even more so I took use of the WONDERFUL shower, where Michael made sure to have the spray on the lower of my back and I focused very hard on my breathing. After this contractions kept coming regularly and more strong, and I decided to use the Gas (which really really helped me). By 9:00pm I was 8 cm and was told I would definitely have the baby by 12:00pm. I thought 12, WHAT I want her now. At this time I was put on all fours to help progress the baby down, well did it ever, I also went right into transition, (definitely different from the other stages, cause I thought I was going to die) Well I turned around on my back again and found I was fully dilated and ready to have the baby, and with 30 minutes of pushing I had our little angel at 9:35pm. Yes I didn't have to wait till 12.
With all the pain you go through, it's totally worth it in the end, you don't remember the pain and the feeling when they put your child on your chest is the most amazing feeling in the whole world, then when you look them in their eyes and see what you've made, it really makes your heart melt.
Everyone there to help me was amazing and it was so appreciated, even with my little outbursts (no swearing) just saying I KNOW, and then apologizing for the little snaps I made.

And you did a fantastic, wonderful job and had a beautiful, beautiful baby girl (who kinda looks a little like her nanny dontcha think)
Actually I think she looks like her daddy! Sara, you are amazing honey - your little girl is just beautiful and I can hardly wait to see her and hold her! Tell her that her great-auntie Moe is coming over soon. Love to all!
