I often catch myself saying things like, oh when he's this age, or when she's in school, I realize STOP IT, it goes by fast enough and since this is our last child I need to cherish this stage with both my babes!
Things are going great, and I couldn't be a happier, prouder Mama. Those two light up my life, they are truly the most believable blessings! At 2 weeks old Marc developed Thrush, therefore completely stopped breast feeding, and would not nurse. This frustrated me and I tried my best to continue, but along with the first few weeks of it being hard, I also had to deal with the Thrush, which was just to hard for me, so we switched him to formula :(. By 3 weeks he became Colic, and was quite the handful. He was very very cranky and hard to console. We tried everything, Gripe Water, Oval, Bouncing around, singing, shhhing, and rocking, but he just needed to cry it out.
At 17 almost 18 weeks old, he's still a pretty fussy guy, but has changed IMMENSELY, and gives big smiles which just light up the room. I feel like he is now a pretty happy baby (AT HOME) he does not like his car seat/car; therefore we are home a lot more often than I was at home - which is ok with me, because Arianna and I get lots of crafts done, and Marc is much happier.
He is growing like a chubby little weed, weighing in at 13.5 pounds and around 23.5 inches long! He's such a joy!
Arianna is doing great. She truly is my little beauty. She is coming out of her shell (slowly but surely) and starting to play with her friends, and not being attached at Mommy's hip. Although she usually has to come out and make sure I'm still there, she'll head back to what she was doing. Her words are getting MUCH clearer, and other people are now able to understand what she is saying - and not just Mommy and Daddy.
She says some pretty funny things, and has quite the attitude. If she wants something and doesn't get it, she will have a (Toddler Sara) sized tantrum. She will run in her room, throw herself on the floor and roll around (while stopping, looking up to see if I'm still there - all while not crying) and then in that split second while she see's I'm still there, goes right back into that tantrum. This can happen for 10-15 minutes until she calms herself down. I've come to the point that when she's that worked up, it's too hard to try to work things out. I wait until she is done, and sit down with her, and explain why she couldn't have what she wanted, and ask for an apology and big hugs and kisses. Then my little raccoon eyed sweetheart will come out, and usually be in a better mood.
For instance, the other night we had Shepherds Pie for dinner, and she was doing great, and eating everything, until I MIXED HER KETCHUP IN WITH THE PIE! Well, you don't do that, she then proceeded to throw the whole plate on the ground and throw a huge fit. Really, all because I mixed the ketchup :)
AND, its the hardest thing to be mad/serious because Michael and I are usually trying to contain our laughter or stomachs from exploding because it's just so funny - which sounds so mean, but if you have a toddler this must be something that happens with you as well. (They do too many funny things, and when there so mad, and so cute at the same time, it's just too funny) BUT, don't let them see you laugh cause then, OH BOY it's over!

Michael and I are both adapting pretty well now, and seem to be finding the right ways to understand what Marc wants, and I'm feeling much more confident during the day and getting things done with both kiddies!
That's all for now!

Family of four

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SpRbyd9lWGI/AAAAAAAABB0/bKMranQ9NA4/s320/IMG_1189.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5374021177954359394" />
Well, after 38 weeks and 6 days we finally have our newest addition to our family.
Marc David William Baird! He is here and he is beautiful.
My Birth Story,

August 15th at 4:30am, I woke up to some "cramping" I soon realized that it wasn't just cramping after about half an hour of them coming every 10-minutes. They slowly got stronger and somewhat closer together. By 5:15 they'd reached every 5 minutes apart. Since I was going to be laboring in Abbotsford we decided to call the family. Since David (Michael's Dad) was going to watch Arianna, we woke him up bright and early, and since my mom was going to be with us, we too woke her up.
At about 6 am, we started our journey out to Abbotsford. The contractions were not any closer together - still 5 minutes apart but I was definitely starting to remember what this felt like last time.
By the time we arrived at the hospital I was 3 cm dilated - I absolutely DID NOT want to be sent home, and lucky enough for me, I wasn't. I was admitted right away and sent to my own private (HUGE) room. I enjoyed a nice shower, which was helping with the pain - and by 9:00 I was still 3 - 3.5 cms, I was none to impressed about this.So, my wonderful doctor came in and broke my water. HELLO! After another shower I was in full blown labour - nothing was making me happy.
By 10:30 there was no breaks - I couldn't talk (unless the gas made me think I was cher and I busted out a tune) but really was in to much pain to talk. The contractions were SO intense, far worse than I found being in labour for 12 hours with Arianna - and I wasn't even induced this time. They were SO strong, and I felt so much pressure like I constantly needed to push. By 11:30, little Marc's heart rate was decreasing - in which they had to put an internal heart monitor on him to keep an eye on things - the monitor didn't last long - as little rolly polly Marc was not co-operating. Not only was his heart rate decreasing but his body hadn't settled into a "pushing" position and kept moving the whole time all the while being face up.
As he was turning himself around and after 1.5 pushes he was out, and quickly taken from me as his heart rate dropped to approx. 70bpm. I was panic stricken and so freaked out and was constantly asking if he was ok - in which the nurse wouldn't answer me. After about 10 minutes they finally brought my handsome little guy to Michael and myself, and was a happy crying little boy! He was perfect, weighing 7 pounds 7 oz, and 20.5 inches long, with lots of dark hair.

By 6:30 that evening Arianna and Daddy came to visit, and being a little hesitant at first Arianna warmed right up. She didn't even look at my belly thinking he was still in there, he knew where her new baby brother Marc was, and instantly wanted to hold him.
Love at first sight - such a great big sister.

That's it for now, as I should go "pump" to feed my 10 day old little man.

33 Weeks

Officially I have 7 weeks left. Yes I know, and understand that it will be more like 9, but it's easier to say 7 :) Much easier.
I have recently become more agitated, stressed, and uncomfortable. I know this is all apart of being pregnant, but sometimes it's too much stress for a person to handle. I have my days of UPS and DOWNS, somedays I feel like I'm the only mother who has felt this way, who's raised her a voice a little too loud, cried a little too much, and snapped at people for no reason. Please tell me this is not true, this is also you???
I'm growing day by day, and feeling more and more like a big house, but with that I am also feeling the wonderful little kicks/pushes and jabs of our little boy. He's quite the active guy - moving more early in the morning and around 8 at night! His kicks and movement are so much different from what I remember with Arianna. Her's were enjoyable, and fun with little pressure, this little guy loves to make himself known, and in all the wrong places, but either way it's totally fun, except when I'm grocery shopping by myself and let out a OUCH, and people think I'm nuts!
At my pre-natal appointment 4 weeks ago, I was told that I was having a large baby, and to expect him to be around 9-10 pounds, but at my appointment this week, I measured 34 weeks (only a week ahead) and was told he felt completely normal/average - so here's hoping he's not humongous, and this second doc is right!
I've now put on a total of 15 pounds, which feels like a lot for me, and may not be a lot to anyone else, but I still have 7 weeks, and feel as if there is no room for him to grow, in fact I know there is no room, he'd be FAR to uncomfortable!

The below pics are from a Wedding at 31 Weeks - and at home at 32 weeks!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SlJX3sAvYjI/AAAAAAAABA8/F_PbO6WMmXU/s320/Photo+123.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5355439521115628082" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SlJX9UoHPQI/AAAAAAAABBE/z9v2iB10hK4/s320/Photo+160.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5355439617917533442" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SlJYDJsC1CI/AAAAAAAABBM/I9-vAkilxAU/s320/Photo+161.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5355439718060446754" />

Arianna -
She's doing great! She is truly a joy to have in our lives.
She has become quite the stinker though, and LOVES to push our buttons. She's become less and less involved in sleep. Although she sleeps through the night, getting her to that point is quite the task. We have a routine that we do everynight, which involves dinner, bath, brush teeth, and reading 3 books, then off to her room for bed, or screaming whichever she decides she feels like doing - which is most often screaming.
I'm not too sure why she is doing this, as we both know (including Arianna) how tired she is but she just hates to give in. She'll stand at the door and SCREAM, and SCREAM and SCREAM some more, she will do this for almost 2 hours, non stop - and then will FINALLY fall asleep. ON THE FLOOR! She'll either be at the foot of her bed with her bear as a pillow and housecoat as a blanket, or will be in the middle of the room - same position, in her chair or as recently as yesterday buckled into her wagon completely passed out on bear. Although it's CUTE, it's frustrating at the same time.
I'm thinking of maybe putting her mattress back on the floor - and eliminating the bed for the time being - but that for now is just a thought!
I don't want to sound like I'm complaining - because (well I am) but there is so much more great stuff that she is doing.
She amazes us with her memory! She is "reading" us her book called Alaska 123, and it is amazingly cute! She will sit and draw in her coloring book for 45 minutes at a time, and will "occasionally" and most often remember certain colors, or correspond her colors with different things.
EX, If we ask her what color Elmo is, she will say Elmo Red, or Grover Blue, or Big Bird Yellow, or will point out a color if we ask what it is, this is exciting for us, and makes us so proud. She LOVES her family - and will make it known to everyone.
Although, she's quite hesitant, even around people she sees all the time, and takes time to open up, once out of her cage she's a chatterbox, FULL of personality!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 104px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SlJbLdCQ28I/AAAAAAAABBU/IjyCTS8DoMI/s320/IMG_0476.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5355443159227751362" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SlJbexqsgaI/AAAAAAAABBc/b72fU_JndK4/s320/IMG_0469.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5355443491183559074" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 183px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SlJbzbl-kKI/AAAAAAAABBk/yum11KN_djg/s320/IMG_0437.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5355443846035443874" />

30 Weeks & 26 Months

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SjwUdPTn5GI/AAAAAAAABA0/kNjzQ3mMVeQ/s320/IMG_0171.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5349172949966906466" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SjwT4Upl6FI/AAAAAAAABAk/8OpCQMyNWQg/s320/Photo+146.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5349172315746068562" /> 30 Weeks

Today we finally had Arianna's second year checkup with the doctor, and we've got a thumbs up.
She is 23 3/4 pounds, and 34.5 inches tall. She was VERY cooperative with all the staff today, and didn't even cry for the doctor. We had a pretty big high five when we left the office :)
We're so proud of her, she's doing so well and growing so fast. It seems to be a common thing for most parents to say, but it's oh so true, where does the time go? In 2 more months we'll have another little baby joining this family of three, to make it even more wonderful.
Arianna has a dance recital tonight that we're all very excited about, and am hoping Arianna is JUST as excited.
At our rehearsal on Wednesday, she said she was a little scared, and quite hesitant to leaving the gymnasium on her own or even going all together. Although she's always excited and geared up to go dancing, I think that day (from a lack of sleep) was just a little too overwhelming. We know she'll do great tonight.
Her class is doing a dance "number" to the song Little Bunny Fou-Fou, and it's SO adorable to watch the 6 girls up on the stage.
I'll post a video and pictures later.

Pregnancy:
Things are going, ok.
As of right now, I've put on 12 pounds, and am apparently ALL BABY! (meaning the doc told me, he's BIG)
I'm very uncomfortable - as most 30 week pregnant woman are, and am finding it very difficult to even sit for 10 minutes without being in pain.
And the best part of the whole thing is that you of course - gain the most and get the most uncomfortable in the last 1.5 month, so that's some pretty exciting news :)
But, with all the complaining, I can't wait to meet this new member of our family - although I don't seem at all ready or organized nor is the house EVER clean enough, I'm SO excited for his arrival.
That's news for now!

25 Weeks and Arianna

<img style="float:left; The day started off with quite the ruckus as I was not fully prepared as I thought I was. The cake wasn't finished, the cupcakes hadn't been started, the balloons yet to be blown and I (to say the very least) was a total wreck.
I warn anyone hosting a birthday party for children and family to be FULLY prepared at least a week in advance.
After running around, Michael and I worked together in the kitchen for about 2 - 1/2 hours making the cupcakes and cake. I pretty much have to give full credit to that wonderful husband of mine, because he pretty much did everything without even batting an eyelash, even when I was (shhhh,bitching) in his ear the whole time. He had made the cake the night before, so it would be ready in the morning to be iced. Well, that night, (as he did was he was supposed to) the cake however did not, it came out in crumbs, he was quite ticked that it was like that, and I however went and had a nice sleep and told him we'd figure it out in the morning.
Morning came, I quickly made the icing (yes I actually made it) and Michael pieced together the cake. It looks a little like a mountain, but once I started the icing it was starting to look a lot more like the ballet slippers they were supposed to be.
While I was doing all the icing, Michael was busy making all the cupcakes - from scratch.
They turned out WONDERFUL, and he even iced them with all the pretty pink icing they could hold.
While this was all dome, I was trying to keep Arianna busy as she wanted our FULL attention this morning, so we "watched" the tv for about 2.4 seconds and I blew up all the balloons.
10 minutes later all the kids started coming - 3 friends in total. They seemed to have fun playing and horsing around. (and even clogging out toilet filled with toilet paper - but that's besides the point) They had fun, Arianna was spoiled by her friends, and all seemed to enjoy the yummy cupcakes. Once, the friends all left to go home. Arianna was put down for a nap until family showed up.
Family started arriving about about 2:45, and it went swimmingly, it was crowded, but FUN. Again, she was spoiled, and even opened a card that had money in it, shouting OHHH MONEY! Might have been her favorite gift. We had hamburgers, and hot dogs for dinner, which Michael Barbiecooked(which Arianna likes to say) and were delicious. The came the "mountainous" cake. It seemed to turn out a lot better than hoped, and tasted WAY better than it looked - (a lot like the Bunny Cake from an old episode of friends)
We had a great day, and I was so very happy to have shared our baby girls Second Birthday with all the people she loves.
All the stress was worth it.

Pregnancy:
Things are going well. I'm not 22 Weeks and 2 days. I had my pre-natal appointment yesterday and things seem to be going as planned. I'm measuring around 20, and I've managed to put on some weight. (9.5 pounds to be exact) yes that may seem like a lot - but as a friend put it last night, it makes up for all the weight I haven't put on in the last 20 weeks, so it was due!
I'm starting to feel baby a lot more now, and even Michael is able to feel him kick a little.
I'm ready for him to join the world now, although I know it is much to soon, so lets just say I'm excited for August.

That's all for now,
I will add all the birthday pics later on, as I need to go get some cleaning done :):):):)

20 + Weeks

Well, I'm 20 Weeks and 2 days pregnant, and things have been going well. I went to the kids swap meet this weekend, and found something great. A SLING. Normaly, me and slings don't do too well, but this one in particular was fabulous. It was so easy to put on, and take off, and being 20 weeks pregnant holding a 25 pound 2 year old, I wasn't uncomfortable in the least.
I went to the swap meet looking to find a double stroller for a reasonable price, but when I came across the sling, I figured I would use the sling and keep the stroller I already have and cary baby around in the sling. I know this seems like it may be a lot of work, but sometimes it's easier to spend less and work a little harder :) Now, when the time comes that I really can't do and need a double stroller for those longs walks, we may look into it then. Also at the swap meet, I got an ADORABLE bow holder and some cute little bows. I'm hoping as Arianna gets older she'll be more inclined to wear the bows more often; instead of 10 minutes and then ripping it out.
I'll post pictures of the bow holder and bows once Arianna's room is complete with the new big girl bed, and it's all organized.

Arianna, is doing well. Although she is teething and not having fun with it at all, she has spent the last two nights with a slight fever, and somewhat irritable. BUT I do have to say that she is quite the trooper and we're doing the best we can to remove any pain from that little mouth of hers :)

Oh yea, I had a 3D Ultrasound on Monday (yesterday) that went great. I'm overjoyed to say we're having a little boy. Arianna is very excited(?) to have a little baby brother. At only 20 weeks he is adorable and perfect. It seems the nurse at the hospital was right :)

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 257px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/Sdu41qrNcPI/AAAAAAAAA_U/BtHj_EGxG-0/s320/img015.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322050616796475634" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 246px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/Sdu464jLhFI/AAAAAAAAA_c/M4xh4G1Vsk4/s320/img014.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322050706420237394" />

That's all for now!

Also,
This is the website to the sling I bought,

http://www.hugofjoy.com/

and this for anyone looking for adorable bows and bow holders! (No new stretch marks, but can see the old ones now :) )
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SdaMkzndULI/AAAAAAAAA-8/Z7Q9NaqcZno/s320/Photo+98.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320594573743706290" />

I'm feeling pretty good, baby is very active now - although we haven't felt the kicks on my tummy yet. It makes pregnancy a lot more enjoyable for me when I can feel the little guy moving around in there.
I'm eating a lot now, and am going to show that doctor just how much weight I can put on, hehe.
That's pretty much it, Preggo wise.

Arianna is great, she's becoming more and more independent as the days go by, and her big girl personality is starting to shine through. For her birthday (April 13th) she's getting a new bed - which she already has the mattress for just waiting for the actual bed. She LOVES the idea of a "New Bed" but does not love so much the idea of sleeping in her new bed. Everyone who comes in the door, she takes them to see this new bed and the SUPER CUTE bedding, but when it comes to sleep - not so much.
I'm not pushing the idea of sleeping in there quite yet, as it's not where we want it.
I'll be moving the furniture around so her big bed will be in the old spot where her crib was, so she's comfortable, so now the mattress is just on the floor so she becomes more accustomed to it.
I will take all the advice on switching her over because when I tried to do it, I found she was just playing in her room. Do I let her play for an hour, and then have her fall asleep, or do I continuously go in and place her in the new bed???

Anywho, I'll post a picture of the bed, with the bedding,
And once the room is all complete with both bed and crib (for her new brother or sister) I'll show it off :)

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SdaOeNwsWcI/AAAAAAAAA_E/QkbdHdTCDVU/s320/IMG_9286.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320596659525933506" /> (in her bed)

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SdaPEmxlj-I/AAAAAAAAA_M/dlPW8kfQ1kw/s320/IMG_9293.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320597319075598306" /> (the bedding)

17 & 18 Weeks

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/ScgY7km2fCI/AAAAAAAAA-k/nL2W_DgkMYA/s320/Photo+87.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316526771828849698" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/ScgZATgRlTI/AAAAAAAAA-s/LJ-zsMsTk9M/s320/Photo+88.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316526853137208626" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/ScgZFp_Y6gI/AAAAAAAAA-0/U1Bp7-pxjfw/s320/Photo+89.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316526945072638466" />

Pregnancy:
Things are a little bumpy but are seemingly smoothing themselves out. I can definitely say being pregnant up to this point has not been my favourite thing. I love the end result, but am just one of those woman who doesn't enjoy certain aspects of pregnancy.
Since my first Doctors visit, I have lost 3.5 pounds, and go back this week for a weight check to make sure that I've gained a little bit. Also, I've been continuing to bleed, but have been informed by the doctor it is nothing to worry about, except the nuisance of the fact. Hopefully that stops soon.
Since I've been 17 weeks I've been feeling the baby move more frequently and am slowly remembering the joys of when all this happened with Arianna. I'm excited for when Michael and Arianna can feel the baby kick them :)
We have our 18 week Ultrasound this Friday. Will post pictures when we have them.

That's all for now, Arianna is waking!

16 Weeks 3 Days

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 238px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SblmokmNgNI/AAAAAAAAA-c/tKJu2-MPmck/s320/img001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5312390082664956114" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SblmcSNxSZI/AAAAAAAAA-U/Kta52tVO8yE/s320/Photo+86.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5312389871572175250" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SblmXm5yd3I/AAAAAAAAA-M/YWAWUWygMjY/s320/Photo+85.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5312389791226165106" />

Here I am at 16 Weeks and 3 Days pregnant, and Baby at 15 Weeks and 2 Days!

I had my third prenatal visit today, and had a pretty good appointment. The only bad thing was my Dr, Who I think is WONDERFUL is retiring from Deliveries, and at 28 Weeks, I will be transferring to another physician in his office. I will just have to accept this. I'm hoping I can be transferred to Abbotsford, so we can have our delivery there, as they have much bigger rooms, and more to accompany a labour.
I've also lost 2.5 pounds, so I'm scheduled to have another visit in 2 weeks to make sure I've put on some weight. I sure hope I do, and I hope I gain an appetite. I have absolutely no REAL desire to eat, I'm just not hungry, but I WILL BE because it's for the health of our little baby!
I'm also measuring right at 16 weeks 3 days, and the baby has a steady (girly) heartbeat of 148.
I'm so sure that this little baby is a boy, but everyone around me is thinking girl, and at the rate things are going I'm starting to gear towards as well. BUT, we will see in just a few weeks! And I'm sure I'll prove everyone wrong.
Either way I will be completely excited!
As you can see I have a posted pic of new baby, and this was because of an "urgent" ultrasound. Last week I had quite a lot of bleeding which was quite the scare, but it seems I had a small (normal) tear, which may have been there previously and worked a little to hard causing the blood. The heartbeat was strong in Emergency at 156, but the ultrasound was a safety measure.
I have my normal ultrasound in Langley in a few weeks!

That's all for now,

Except, Arianna has a new haircut! It looks adorable, and she no longer has a mullet. She had a "few" tears, but once she was off the chair she was fine.

I'll post pictures when my camera's batteries aren't dead!

No more bottles!

An old picture of my baby who will be 2 in one month :)

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/Saw7fUwiFII/AAAAAAAAA-E/JI200eZ0Tzs/s320/DSC00292.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5308683470097224834" />

I know, this took me a lot longer than most, but Arianna is now officially off the bottle and on to her "big girl cup." We are very proud, and I am SO excited that she no longer needs them. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be, and she's very good with the new cup. She'll drink from a cup with a straw for dinner, and her sippy cup throughout the day.
Now our task is onto the Big Girl Bed. I found her the other day trying to climb out of her crib, so I'm thinking it's about time to do the big switch, we just need her to last in the crib till her second birthday. We are saving for the bed, and have family that will pitch in for a birthday present for a new bedroom set. So no worrying until that day.
Pregnancy:
I'm 15 weeks and 1 day. Things seem to be going smoothly now. (Always knock on wood) I'm still taking diclectin - but only twice a day at bedtime, cause if I don't I still get upset. :( But, other than that I'm feeling fabulous. I'm starting to show now, although I'm sure if you didn't know me and saw me walking down the street, you'd wonder, "Is she one of those people that just let it hang out and doesn't care, or is she pregnant? I'm in that stage, argh. It will be nice once It's more of a baby belly.
Things are definitely different this time around. My sizing, is around the same, but my eating habits are crazy. Everything I like normally I HATE now. And it's awful because I crave it, and then eat it and get sick. I should stop doing that :)
I've gained 1 pound, and will find out if I've put on anymore, on the 12th at my next appointment.
I'm excited for my appointment because "hopefully" I will be able to hear my baby's heartbeat, as I'll almost be 17 weeks. I can feel him/her moving around a lot, but still nothing like a kick or feeling with our hands. We just have to wait.
I have my first Ultrasound on the 27th, and of course we're excited about that. I can't wait to see the little guy moving around.
We will definitely be finding out the sex, as I'm FAR to impatient and will let everyone know when that time comes.
Anyway, I should get to cleaning ( I probably do that FAR to often as well) but it needs to be done, it's never clean enough.

Functional Constipation

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 290px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SaL4iPhPINI/AAAAAAAAA98/OFaFVaRwppk/s320/IMG_8997.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5306076578161041618" />
Nice Headline right?
Well, we finally had our visit and Children's Hospital, and what a great visit and sigh of relief it was to go. We took the trip in on Thursday, had her weighed and her height checked before the visit. She is 34 inches tall and 23 pounds. We found at the visit that she is a healthy girl, and this problem with the constipation is fairly normal. Some kids get it and some kids don't. It definitely could get worse, so we have to be on top of giving her a powder called Peg everyday until this stage passes, or until she is no longer in pain or "holding." This will probably last until pre-school, and could be longer, but that is fine as long as we know that it will eventually pass, and she will no long be in any pain while going to the bathroom :) YAY!
We also went through a rough patch this weekend. Arianna had quite the fever, and we found ourselves in and out of Emergency and the Clinic. It started on Thursday, when she had become very lethargic, and quite warm. As the day went on, her temperature kept rising, and the Tylenol would not bring it down. By 9:30 that evening, her temperature had reached a whopping, 40.5 at which time I decided that I should take her to Emergency, because after about an hour after giving her Tylenol the fever had not dropped. We waited in Emergency for approx. 5 hours. They gave her ibuprofen while we waited in Emergency, which brought her temperature down, so by the time we saw the doctor at 2:30 she was passed out, and woken up by doc. They did all the routine things, and were sent home to continue with the meds, and giving her cold/cool baths. We went to bed that night (and by that I mean Arianna hogged our bed and slept till about 7:30) Anyway, the weekend went by with baths, meds and comforting. We did everything we could to break the fever, and found that our hearts broke watching our little girl feel SO awful. She seems to be happy again, and her fever seems to have broken (knock on wood) It apparently is quite the nasty virus that is going around, and the doctor at the clinic says that everyone coming in seems to have the same thing, and actually had a child with a fever of 40.8 just a bit higher than Arianna, she said it's very rare for kids to come in that high, and hopes herself that this virus stops soon!

I also realized that I am very panicky, and need to start being a little more calm. I thank god that Michael is as calm as he is, it really helps to make you feel better when the other person your around is calm and reacts in all the right ways. :)

Also, This Valentines Day I went to Las Vegas. We had a great time. When we first arrived to the hotel, we were bumped up to a suite as they did not have any of the rooms we originally booked, which was great. We had nice dinners, and saw a great show - Chris Angel (Cirque Du Solei) Chris Angel's show was FAB. I loved it, we sat right up front (10th Row) and saw some pretty amazing things. It really was mind blowing, he really puts on a great show, plus since it was Cirque, it had some amazing dances/ers.
I also, decided to get dressed up for the show and decided to wear my "Lady Heels." And I must tell you, I did it! Yes there was some whining, and some VERY sore duck feet at the end of it. I had to take my shoes off, by the time we reached our hotel as I just couldn't make it to the room. So, from now on I will just stick to "flat" shoes - at least while I'm pregnant.
My duck feet just can't handle it.
Also, we went for a walk through the Forum Shops in Caesars Palace - and passed PURE. A club that I've always been fascinated with as that's where all the celebrities go ( I know lame, but yes I'm one of those girls who loves to hear about Celebrity Gossip) And we saw this night that (now you'll only know who these two GOONES are if you watch The Hills) but Heidi Montag, and Spencer Pratt, were hosting a Valentines Party that night. Well I was DEAD set on being there that night to at least get a picture so I could "brag" but unfortunately the two are pretty stealth and I didn't see them the whole trip :( I even checked out Jimmy Choo, cause what rich "celebs" don't shop there. Apparently not them that day.
Anyway, as we continued our Journey through the mall, we found Pete Rose signing Autographs. (For those of you who don't know who this is, and I was one of them) he is the all time leading hitter for the MLB, and was pretty amazing. Anywho, I decided for a Valentines Gift for Michael, I would buy him a baseball, and have it signed. With the signing, Michael also got a picture with the leading hitter, which was pretty exciting ( I got in the second one as well, but doesn't mean much to me as I don't really follow baseball) but it was still pretty fun!
Anywho, that's about it for now, I should start cleaning while Pumpkin Pants is sleeping.

Ballerina

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SZsVe57s-UI/AAAAAAAAA9s/GCDqkh8hShY/s320/looking+at+mom.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5303856606850382146" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SZsVWpvIx5I/AAAAAAAAA9k/CB4E8fUbOYY/s320/gmas+ballerina.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5303856465063757714" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SZsVr7d-R5I/AAAAAAAAA90/Fd4_IyJSA2g/s320/waiting.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5303856830600857490" />

Arianna had her first Ballet Class today, and it seemed to have gone over quite well. I was going into the class thinking Arianna was going to be very shy and clung to Mommy the whole time.
After a few minutes of chatting, I went to the counter to pay for the classes, and found Arianna in the class already (with a helping hand from Melissa) sitting on her mat. I was SHOCKED to say the least. Normally she does not leave my side, especially in a new place but she seemed quite at home here. The class started with some toe/leg warmups where they gathered in a little group and moved all around. So, throughout the class the girls " followed" Miss. Amanda around, doing all sorts of fun things. Arianna got along great with the other girls, even having one little girl grab her hand and prance her around the class. She absolutely loved the baton, and was a little upset when Miss. Amanda had to take it back.
But all in all, I was thoroughly impressed and proud of my little independent girl. I'm really excited for next week, and hope that Arianna will continue to enjoy dancing :)

No Means No....Right?

The word No.
It's a pretty simple thing, you say no or hear no and you don't do that right?
Well, I'm finding myself saying this word an awful lot and not getting much of a response from the audience. Arianna.
I'm not sure if it's my pregnancy hormones that are all out of whack and I'm getting much more frustrated much faster or if it really is Arianna ignoring every thing I have to say. Or maybe it is a little of both. Everything had been going smoothly, and all of the sudden out of nowhere this new child has emerged, an independent all knowing little girl. She has demands and she wants them dealt with right now, no yesterday. Although, she is polite when she asks for things, she is still quite demanding.
Anywho, back to the No.
She gets into everything, all the drawers,climbing the chairs, playing on the computer and pressing things she shouldn't be, playing in the cupboards, walking ahead of me and trying to run away, everything. So, I calmly say Arianna, Mommy said No, and she looks at me and does it anyway. More firmly I say it again, Mommy said No. WELL, all hell decides to break loose, and she has a FULL BLOWN tantrum. There is screaming, slamming her head on the ground and pushing whatever is in front of her. So, I've always been told, the safest place for her to be is in her crib. So she has a timeout and is put in her crib so she doesn't hurt herself. (Now I'm not to comfortable putting her in her crib - as I want that to be her safe/happy place, a place where she is comfortable, and I have such trouble putting her in there when I am disciplining her, but for right now I don't know where else to put her with bashing her head on something)ANYWHO,
After about 2 minutes I go in her room to find a raccoon faced little girl sniffling away to which I pick up and say it's time to be a good girl, and then she's lovable again, all until I tell her No again.
So, my question is to Mom's out there. Did you have to deal with this while you were pregnant? Is it just me and my mixed up hormones, is this NO thing common? Am I losing my cool to soon? Do you out there get frustrated and overwhelmed by such a small thing, or is this just me being crazy?
I don't know, but I feel like I'm losing my mind and am slowly going nuts!
I hope this gets easier as time progresses. I hope it's not actually the terrible twos!
I just need some advice or knowing that this does happen to other Moms.

9 weeks????

Well, today I am 9 weeks and 2 days pregnant.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SXYt_otDdPI/AAAAAAAAA8w/VzJ7b8UTBzA/s320/Sara+9+weeks.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5293468983301993714" />
9 weeks 2 days (Baby #2)

I can't believe I am already this big, it blows my mind. At 20 weeks with Arianna I was still smaller than this.
I know with your second you always grow faster, but this?
I'm starting to think there may actually be a possibility of twins. I've been one to never think I'd have twins, or could. It doesn't seem like that would happen, but what else could be the explanation for this large belly? I'm not eating that much, I was sick and dehydrated for so many days, and I'm running around after a little girl all day long!
Well, from now on, week by week I'm hoping to have a belly shot, to see how I'm growing and for you to watch me GROW!
We're all still very excited, and I'm extra excited to see the Ultrasound March 27th!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SXYwE9EV6MI/AAAAAAAAA84/Z7KQEIOTnHQ/s320/pregnancy+20+weeks.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5293471273690982594" />
20 weeks 5 Days (Arianna)

Happy New Year

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SXQJ1_PKyxI/AAAAAAAAA8o/FEdssyQ0BOI/s320/arianna+small.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5292866285179947794" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SXQJQn0wvkI/AAAAAAAAA8g/DZYtrBDPqWw/s320/arianna+small.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5292865643240013378" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SXQIFZ4ojzI/AAAAAAAAA8Y/q4bOJ4eS-Sg/s320/arianna+small.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5292864351007969074" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SXQBF090w9I/AAAAAAAAA8Q/RngyMCjztEU/s320/IMG_8903.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5292856661696103378" />

Today we finally got our new computer. Our computer for the last 2 years has FINALLY crashed, and we were able to buy our MAC! I'm so excited, I can search websites, read blogs and finally see what's on the screen, not to mention we can see the true work of our new(bought last Feb) camera.
AND, my wonderful husband has surprised me with a lovely trip for Valentines Day. I only found out early, as my work schedule had to correspond, and if offered would not be able to take a shift for those days. So, where are we going? It's not really a shock....VEGAS. Yes, we're going to Las Vegas again, but this time to take in the enjoyment of a show and a nice dinner.
I'm very excited, truly the last hoorah for awhile.

Pregnancy:
Things seem to be getting better (knock on wood) I'm feeling like myself, only large. I can't even begin to imagine how big and uncomfortable I'm going to be by August 23rd.
I'm definitely getting all my proper nutrition (with a few "light" snacks) plus LOTS of water/juice, as I do not want to be 6 days dehydrated again. I think as long as I take my dicletion, till the next trimester I'll be ok.

Arianna:
She's amazing, she truly surprises me everyday. She's growing so fast, right before our eyes. I'm now able to get her hair into a ponytail(s) and she looks absolutely adorable. 5 minutes later however, the elastics are pulled from her hair leaving it look like I haven't brushed her hair in days. This infuriates me, lol. I just love the way it looks, and as soon as she pulls it out she gives me that look and has a HUGE smile on her face. One day she'll let me leave them in; I hope.
She has learned a new (and I think impressive) trick. SNAPPING. She loves to snap her fingers. Also, her Papa has taught her how to wink. It's pretty funny. When you tell her to wink, she'll look at that person, close both eyes and smile.
My brother took a few video's from his visit, and once I get them I will post them for you to view.

I'm off now to play with this new computer!

Pregnant

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SWe8O1ERAcI/AAAAAAAAA8E/VamlRt_hS1Q/s320/arianna+small.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5289403250319098306" />
Yes, it's official, I am pregnant and we are expecting our second little baby :)I would love to say things have been going smoothly this time around, but I can't. As of right now, I've been pretty sick and keeping absolutely nothing in. I went to what I thought was my first pre-natal appointment - but due to incorrect booking it was just a regular visit. This is probably a good thing, as my doctor said I did not look so good, and asked how things had been going. In turn I had told him the above -not keeping anything down. Immediately he checked my fluids, and tongue, and found I was severely dehydrated and was to be admitted to the hopsital for Hyperemesis Gravidarum. I was actually kind of shocked, I didn't think I would need to be admitted considering I was in Emergency 2 days previous hooked up to IV and pumped full of fluids, but I guess that was not enough. When I got to the hospital I was immediately set up to an IV (after 8 attempts to find a vein, the doctor was able to come in and get it done)I spent the 2 days resting and being pumped full of water. Which in turn really seemed to help. I try to be optimistic that this pregnancy will from this point forward continue smoothly.
SO, other than that I am fantastic and am so excited to be expecting again. I am due on/around August 23rd (SO FAR AWAY) and have my first prenatal appointment this coming week.

Our little girl is growing so fast and I'm in complete shock that her 2nd birthday is only a few short months away. I can't get over how in just one night she seems like a total different person. Her vocabulary is really coming along, she's quite the chatterbox; just like her Mommy. She will definetely let you know how she is feeling and what needs to be done about it. She is definetely Independant. She likes to do everything on her own, and does not want to be told what to do. If she can't figure something out right away, she will sit and ponder how to do it, and then amazingly in only a few minutes will have it figured out - just like her Daddy. She no longer wants to have cuddle time, or hold Mommy's hand and if I try it's an automatic "No Mommy." I miss this time, but I love watching her grow and learn new things day by day.
She is also a very shy little girl, especially if she hasn't met you. She immediately goes to her safe area (any family around) and clings on for safety with her head burried. After about 20 minutes - 1 hour she starts opening up a bit and interaccting with people. Again - just like her Daddy.

We finally have an appointment with a specialist at Children's Hospital Feb 19th, to discuss this ongoing Bowel problem. She is getting a little better with time, but I still don't think she should be screaming everytime she needs to goto the bathroom, so I'm hoping that with this visit we will finally be able to have a resolution to this awful problem.

That's all for right now,

A Day or Remembrance

2 years ago yesterday was our family's day of Remembrance. I can remember sitting 4 months pregnant with Michael watching the Canucks game when I got a frantic phone call from my Dad saying Cody and Amanda had been in a terrible accident. Immediately we drove to my parents home where my very shaken up Dad and knowing 3 year old neice were. My mind hadn't set into the severity as I told my Dad it would be ok, and to be calm. A few phone calls later, myself and Michael headed to the Chilliwack hospital. Once we arrived there, I saw my family in tears, saying Amanda is going to be ok, but Cody had been Air Lifted with Lisa to Children's. This is when the fear really set in. I was trying to stay optimistic and as calm as I could be to keep my family calm. In the pouring rain Michael,myself, my mom and Greg (Cody's Dad) drove out to Vancouver. Once we arrived we rushed to the ICU. Having no idea what we were about to see, we all became tear filled. We walked into a team of 15 or so people working on a lifeless Cody. An amazing group of the best doctors in the world working on our special little guy. We stayed for a few hours to wait and hear of any changing news, hoping and praying for the best. As the days past, ours feelings and emotions were taken through a series of Rollercoaster bumps, we had good news, and then horrible news, 1 giant step forward, and 5 Giant steps back. As the 9 days went by, it was time to say Goodbye. There was nothing we could do. So as our close family gathered together, we all held onto a piece of Cody as we watched his body and soul go to be with God, to make Heaven a little more beautiful. He was a fighter, and that's what he did. So, I ask anyone that reads this blog, cherish what you have, love every moment of your life because you really don't realize what you have until it's gone. I miss him everyday, and pray that's he's taking care of all of us down here from up there.
~
Cody's accident occured at the Fraser River, there is a memorial cross set up at the site, I have not been since before Arianna was born as it's to hard, but if you drive by this area please stop and think about this amazing young man, and his fight till the end. He amazed the doctors, and his family and will forever live on in our hearts.

Potty Training ????

So, if anything good came out of this whole constipation problem with Arianna, it's this; Arianna using the Potty (or Booty)as she calls it. I was in no way trying to train Arianna as she is still to young. (in my opinion) But, with all her issues it was very easy to tell when Ari had to go, so it was easy to plop her onto the potty (as it was easier for her) and let her do her thing. She now will tell us when she has to go poop, and will grab her diaper and say "poopy" when she has to pee. I thought "No, you don't really have to go" but sure enough I took the diapers off, she sat on the potty and she said "All Gone" and sure enough she had peed, I was honestly shocked, not to mention so proud. I called Grandma and Nana right away. :) Now, I'm not fully set on potty training, all I know is that when she says pee pee or poo poo, she will goto the potty and do her business there. If we're home during the day she can run around in training pants/diapers to make it easier, I just think it's a pretty big step and hope when it's actually time to have her fully trained she will be great. I'm just happy that she understands what it is to use the potty, and know's it's not a toy ;)

Baby's growing up...

It's been awhile so now is a good time to do a new update. Our little family just got back from a road trip to Alberta. We left on the 11th heading out to Medicine Hat to visit with Arianna's Great Grandparents. We had a great time, and I may have possibly put on a "few" pounds. Being with Grandparents you will NEVER starve. We woke up to Breakfast & Coffee and then DESSERT. Snacks, Lunch (with DESSERT) snacks, and then Dinner (WITH DESSERT) Now I'm not complaining because everything was amazing, but it was a lot of food. We kept busy the whole trip, there was always something going on. We made another trip to Empress & Oyen, a 2 hour drive on flat prairie roads - what a view. :):) While in Oyen we were able to see Arianna's Great,Great,Great Aunt and Uncle, 92 year old Dyck, and 86 year old Vi. They loved Arianna and watching everything she did. We then headed to Ari's other Great, Great, Great Aunt - Marie in Empress. We had a great time there, had baked cookies and tea. Arianna, Michael, Gloria and myself ventured out while the Grandparents stayed and chatted. We made our way to a cute little store called Empressive. It was cute full of odd little things. We took a few photo's as Empress is a tiny and neat town. It reminds me of some place you'd see on little house on the prairie. It's a town of maybe 100 people, and old neat buildings, not some place you'd picture growing up. But it was adorable...
We went for walks, to the mall, to Michael's Aunt and Uncle's house for Thanksgiving dinner; Cousin's place to watch Survivor.
on the next Friday we headed out to Calgary to visit my brother and family. We had a great time there, Gloria and Michael enjoyed listening to my Uncle Mikey place at his place for the Jam, and myself and Arianna drove out to Turner Valley to visit with my Auntie Mary.
All in all we had a great trip, and I was SO proud of Arianna. Her sleep schedule changed night by night, and I think she maybe have cried 5 times the whole trip. And not even cries, just wimpers in the car to get out.
It was a loooooong drive, especially for me - the nervous passenger. Luckily for us we were sparerd from any snow, only a light dusting on the side of the road through the Rockies. I was pretty happy about that. And considering the day after we got home the Coquihalla and Rockies were COVERED in snow. Phew.
Anyways, that's pretty much it, Arianna is cutting her bottom 2nd year molar so there has been a LOT of drooling, rosy cheeks. ALSO, a few new things. NO. her absolute favourite word. You don't take anything from her, or you will get a risen finger flailing up in the air saying no,no, no. It's too cute and hard to be stern when she's doing that. She's speaking a lot more now as well, she loves saying All GONE, Gramma,Eat, Cookie,Please (sounds like BEES) those are the most popular. She is up now so I can't type more, oh ya UPIE. Reminded me because she is in her crib saying upie mommy. :)
To add, we now have Arianna fully poopy potty trained. This isn't because we were trying but because of all her history it was easier for her, and now before anytime she has to poop she will come to either Michael or myself (even in the middle of the night) and say poopy and will (for the most part) not poop anywhere but the potty; unless she's in too much pain.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; Everyone knows Arianna is not the best eater, but I try to do what I can to make sure she gets everything she needs whether she spits it out or not;at least I tried. Well last night for dinner was a fun night as we ordered pizza. It came just before Michael got home from work, so I did the usual, put Arianna in the high chair, and set everything up. I cut up the pizza and put the fork on the plate for Ari to eat. Well normally I would give her the toppings to eat, but she had been eating more things lately and becoming accustomed to bread so I thought I'd let her eat it. Well after a few good bites, she started going red and I in turn started panicking, I didn't know what to do, so my first (and probably worst instinct) was to do the scoop method and try to grab the piece. My mind went totally blank. With my scoop method thought I must have done something, as she let out a HUGE scream, and contiuned too for the next 5 minutes, I can promise you the sound of her scream was as amazing to hear as when she was first born, it was a huge relief. Although when Michael walked into the house the first thing he saw were his two girls BAWLING there eyes out. I was shaking I was so upset/scared, and Ari was coming down from her cries. As he said it was ok, and she's fine I couldn't help but think what I would have done if the piece hadn't moved down. I've taken my first aid course, but now realized it was far to long ago, and am planning on taking the Infant/Toddler portion of the course to refresh my memory in case something happens again, I can't and wont be stuck in that situation again without knowing what to properly do.
But she is ok, and that is the wonderful part.
On a happier note, my baby is going to be a puppy for Halloween, and the cutest one ever. In the picture below she does not look too impressed but let me assure you that she is quite excited.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SMqheS1UiRI/AAAAAAAAAl4/LD4lCZEq0-0/s320/puppy+small.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5245182257849993490" />

Tidbits

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SL2HIoF44wI/AAAAAAAAAlw/hPAUvWxhmMU/s320/arianna+small.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241494123599946498" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SL2HA2nsc9I/AAAAAAAAAlo/p07O_Kkxhx8/s320/smiling+girl.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241493990060880850" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SL2G77gv2XI/AAAAAAAAAlg/-SsB7GXnYZw/s320/ari+hat+small.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241493905474574706" />
Terrible twos - HA, that's like morning sickness (it's not just in the morning it's all day) and the same thing with the twos; they don't start at two, they've STARTED! Oh child, every bit of patience I have has been tested this past week. I think I've done pretty well to I might add. Firstly, Arianna (my sweet,sweet Arianna)has developed selective hearing, she absolutely does not here the word NO!
I now appreciate that she didn't start walking until 15 months, I can't hold her back anymore, she's all over the place, I can't even cuddle 2 minutes without her squirming trying to get away. (unless it's bedtime)
We had her weighed at the Clinic the other day and she's at 21 pounds - with clothes and shoes, so she's quite small, but she's very healthy and happy.
She is still a very very picky eater, and will only eat certain things. I try to give her everything, fruits,veggies, and all of the others, although it goes in her mouth it comes out withing 1 minute. It's a little frustrating, but I know her appetite will have to pick up someday! :S
We finally have an appointment at the specialists(Children's Hospital) for her constipation and it's only 5 months away, LOL. It's in Feb, but that's ok at least she has the appointment. She has started pooping on the potty as well, if she has to go she will let us know, and usually it's quite obvious so we can tell. We are by no means potty training her yet, we just find it's easier for her constipation to do it this way.

In other news,
My sister, after years of struggling with all the horrible that has happened with no way to cope has finally agreed to goto rehab. She's in a BEAUTIFUL facility for 6 weeks, and I am so so so thankful she is there. She will now hopefully start to cope with all the horrible that has happened and realize the wonderful person/mother she is. I'm so thankful to my family who helped her get there!

Pooping Princess

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_scJ2IJn2_Vc/SKOjYflNtII/AAAAAAAAAlY/bS5EFuunCvw/s320/small+girl.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5234206833124422786" />

I'm sure this was bound to happen, but I wasn't quite ready or expecting it. I'm sure you already have an idea of what she did by the title, but I'll tell my little story that leads up to the wonderful event. Arianna normally has two naps every day (yes, still 2) one in the morning from 9:30-11:00 and one at 3:00 - 4:30-5:00, depending on the day. Well today was a normal day, had her nap in the morning, and as the day progressed she was become more and more aggetated so I put her down for what I thought would be a regular nap at 3:00pm, 10 minutes later I checked on her and she looked fast asleep, so I left her. at 5:00 she woke up, and was calling Mama and Dada so I went in there and (you'll never guess) there was poop everywhere. And by everywhere I mean all over her bed spindles,the mattress, her hands, toes and (here's the kicker) her mouth. I normally am very good with handelling smells, but this was raunchy and horrible. After laughing for about 10 minutes I got the bath ready and plopped her in the tub - standing so I could use the shower hose to spray her down first, as I didn't want her sitting in a dirty bath because that would defeit the point. After the bath she was clean clean clean, but I now had to conquer the bedroom, I left Arianna with Daddy in the livingroom (as tough guy gags at any bad smell) so he certainly wasn't coming to the rescue :) I went to the bedroom with my bowl filled with soapy water and two clothes and got to cleaning. As I was cleaning I realized that she wasn't sleeping when I checked on her, because the state of the poop clearly showed that it had been there for awhile. (it took about 15 minutes to clean) nevermind the laundry. So the little stinker was "pretending" to sleep while she secretly pooped, removed her diaper (which was on the floor half way across the room) had an absolute ball in this new found discovery and started talking when she was done! Now, I don't have a camera in the bedroom, I do it the old fashioned way and trust that she's sleeping :) :( From now on I am going to have to turn my ears up so I can hear what's really going on in there. With all that all I can say is what a little stinker!

- There are no pictures as I did not need to commemerate the day!

Also, she now says please and thank you, now!

Our Little Temper Queen

First off I have no idea where she got this from!!!! :)
Our little daughter, our princess, are oh so loving little girl has turned into having quite the temper tantrums, she's making sure her voice is heard from miles away and to attract all the attention to her while she bangs her head on everything in site. I try not to make a big deal out of it, as she thinks it's funny when I do that, and continues on, so I try to gently tell her no and move her away from the area, because I don't want her to hurt herself, and if she continues I put her on the floor/carpet as it has more padding then a table,door,window or Sandi cast Dog my parents have in their home - ya ouch! I'm desperately hoping this is just a faze and it will soon pass, as it makes myself and my family cringe every time it happens. Not only is she banging her head, she is also ramming her finger down her throat every chance she gets; and again we try to stay calm but this is essentially worse as she almost throws up every time she does it, so the no becomes a little more stern. She still thinks it's hilarious!
I really don't want to get her a foam piece for her head - as she'll probably look like one of the dogs with a cone around it's head so they don't bite themselves. Eeek *my attempt at a joke* And really I don't think they make anything for head banging babies.

As of October Michael, Arianna,myself and Grandma Baird will be heading to Medicine Hat, Ab. to visit family for Thanksgiving. Again this will be a road trip, but it many ways will probably harder as the last time we went Arianna was 6 months old! Sure it was difficult with the bottles, but this time we have to deal with a Toddler who HATES being in the car, and screams and screams and screams for 12 hours! I'm hoping that if I sit in the back with her she'll be calm, but who knows! Wish us luck!
Anyways, I'm going to post a few video's of our growing girl, for the family to see how she's doing!

Time for an update

Things are going wonderful with our little family. Arianna is soon to be 16 months - WOW. I find myself constantly wondering where all the time has gone. I now understand my mom always saying I remember the day you were born like it was yesterday.
She's getting so big, it's so amazing watching her grow and learn. Although we started signing later than most, she's definitely mastering it. She now signs, eat,more,and all done!We're working on please and thank you now! First thing in the morning when I go in her room to get her, we have a 2 minute cuddle and she immediately sits up and signs eat! Her eating habits have definitely picked up as well - she no longer spits out everything we feed her!
Talking - more and more like her mommy every day! Quite a chatterbox. Her new favorite; nice,juice,walk,milk,kiss,up(upies)down,dance,ali, and more just can't think of them right now!
She is also HORRIBLE in the car now, at all times. Months ago she was perfect, LOVED It, then got to just having little fits; but were able to stop her, NOW they are full blown screaming fits. She'll keep going for the whole car ride, and nothing will soothe her. The only thing that would work would be if I sat in the back with her, CHAOTIC! oh well this will (should)pass...
Laura,myself, Judy (Korean exchange student staying with Gloria and Laura) and Arianna went on a hike. Now to most Teapot hill is NOT a hike, more me making a mountain of mole hill. BUT, if your not in any shape other than round, it's a hike. I started the "hike" with Arianna on my back, but I found after 1/4 (if that) of the way up, I just couldn't do it , so WONDERFUL Auntie Laura came to the rescue and hiked Arianna up on her back the whole way. I took Arianna down the hill though!
Anywho, it was fun and some good exercise! Plans are in the works to do it again to downgrade this mountain into the actual hill it is; when Laura gets back from Italy!

She's made my/our life so perfect. I can't(can) wait to watch her grow!

<img style="float:left;
